Set within the lush grounds of the historic Mount Congreve Estate, the Gate Lodge offers direct access to the stunning Waterford Greenway, a 46km traffic-free trail that’s perfect for long walks, cycles, and outdoor adventures with your dog.

Built in 1775 and thoughtfully renovated, this dog-friendly self-catering stay blends old-world charm with modern comfort. Inside, you’ll find a compact galley kitchen with marble countertops, a cozy living room with antique French day-bed, plush velvet armchairs, Smart TV, and a stylish bio-ethanol stove. Two elegant bedrooms feature antique double beds, and the sleek bathroom includes a walk-in shower—ideal after a day exploring.

Dog beds and bowls are provided, so your dog can feel just as welcome as you do.

While pets aren’t permitted in the main Mount Congreve Gardens (except registered guide dogs), your dog will love the estate’s new pet-friendly Wetlands Walk—a tranquil, natural trail located near Damson Gate Lodge, perfect for relaxed strolls in a biodiverse setting.

Guests and their dogs can also visit the estate’s Stables Café and FOXFORD gift shop.
