Dogs Make Great Travel Companions. However it can be frustrating and time consuming for dog owners to find pet friendly accommodation in Ireland. An internet search may suggest accommodations that are not pet friendly but are labelled as such. After making an online booking a customer arrives with dog in tow to find that the accommodation is not, in fact, pet friendly. Alternatively a customer makes an online booking in an accommodation that is pet friendly but all the pet friendly rooms are booked. That is why we always advise customers to call or email the property to book – phone numbers and email addresses are displayed on our site.

So to help dog owners plan holidays we aim to list and to provide information about all hotels, bed & breakfasts & country and town houses in Ireland that are pet friendly. There are different interpretations of pet friendly – in our case it means a property that will allow your dog to stay in your guest room. In addition some properties may allow your dog to sit with you for meals, in the bar, lobby or restaurant. At the moment we are not listing pet friendly self-catering pet friendly properties – however we may revise this policy at a later date.

We do not recommend any property- we simply provide information in an effort to make holiday planning easier for dog owners. We make every effort to ensure that the information we provide is correct. Please inform us if there are any errors on our behalf.

Meet Our Team

I’m Mags, Top Dog at PetFriendly.

I had a very bad start in life which left me with some issues. However things looked up when I adopted the folk with whom I now live. I was a great find for them …although admittedly they sometimes find my issues challenging! My dog minder says that I am highly intelligent. The dog shrink said that I would probably never be normal – but hey- who wants to be normal?

Anyway I was tailhunted for this position ..on account of my superior intelligence but unfortunately I was not allowed to pick the staff. I would never have picked those two terrier mutts – Dreamy Daisy and Hopeless Hughie. The only plus is that at least I am the best looking of the three of us, as well as being far more intelligent (did I mention that before?) The other plus is that I don’t have to see them every day. Three cheers for remote working! We communicate by peemail.

I’m Daisy, Guard Dog at PetFriendly.

I had a great start in life. I first lived with lovely humans who loved me and I loved them. Now I live with different humans who are equally lovely, and I have a best friend Hughie who lives with us also. I also have a wonderful boss called Mags. Mags really loves me.

Everyday is a wonderful day. I love everyone and everything.

I’m Hughie, General Dogsbody at PetFriendly.

My earliest memory is of wandering around Heuston Station in Dublin. Even thought I have little legs I can run very fast. I managed to evade those humans from Dogs Aids for ages. But they eventually caught me and turned out not to be too bad at all! For a year no humans wanted to take me home with them but eventually I adopted the folks that I am very happy with. They called me Hughie after Heuston Station.

We also have hens and Daisy came to live with us a while ago and now we are best pals.
